Horses,
rally cars....whatever next!
Since
the day I was born my parents had ponies that they quite happily
sat me on, little did they know that this would pave the way for
horses to take a huge part in my life!
I bought Moses
(my current horse) in 1998. Together we have hunted, team chased
and evented (affiliated and unaffiliated) very successfully.
Unfortunately,
in 2000 we both had quite a serious fall at the Isleham Horse Trials
during the cross country phase. This resulted in a few months out
of the saddle for me and a severe knock to my confidence.
In October 2000
i decided to take up the sport of rally driving! Mad I know, but
my confidence with jumping over solid fences on horseback still
hadn't returned so I decided to go out and buy a rally car and i
was determined to beat the blokes at their own game! I did exactly
that when i was crowned the 2004 Heart of England Front Wheel Drive
Champion and top female competitor in my 1360cc Peugeot 106 against
competitors in up to 2000cc powered machinery!
My Confidence
for flying over solid cross country fences with my horse has since
returned and Moses takes priority in my life now. The bug for rallying
has never gone so if you want to see me in a rally car again then
get me a car and a team and i will be back out there like a shot!
